At the last, the water on the Lake Mary Rd. has fallen enough to drive through. There is still water on the road, but it's passable. The torrential rainfall has caused Percy Creek to jump its banks again and again and wash the road out again and again. The road is at its worst point ever. The Jackson Point Road is still not drivable.

Road Conditions are Terrible

The Board of Supervisors met Monday and listened to the Lake Mary Civic Associations' comments on the condition of the Lake Mary Rd. They promised to begin on Wednesday, Feb. 8 to make repairs to the road. Unless the creek is dredged, any repairs are temporary until the next heavy rain. an excerpt from the Woodville Republican is on the "News" page.

Lake Mary is a beautiful oxbow lake created by the Mississippi River.
It is in the southwest corner of Wilkinson County about twenty miles west of Woodville, Ms. Use MS Hwy 24 from the east or US Hwy 61 from north or south to get to Woodville, MS, then west on MS Hwy 24 to the Lake Mary Road.
Lake Mary can be found on the Lake Mary USGS quad topo map. The latitude and longitude coordinates for this lake are 31.1932, -91.5326 and the altitude is 30 feet.
